Saturday, November 5 · 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Since the call to move money from Too Big to Fail banks to local, cooperatively owned credit unions has spread through “Bank Transfer Day” (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=281139538577206), the profile of the credit union movement has been substantially raised. In recognition of this, we are pleased to announce that an open forum on the credit union movement has been scheduled for this November 5th. Credit Union historian Matt Cropp will be giving a brief talk on the origins and development of credit unions, and we will then hold a facilitated community discussion on the topic. If you have any insights or opinions to share, or are simply curious, feel free to stop by! We will be meeting by the fountain in City Hall Park.
